What Is VCBW?

As the craft beer industry began to grow with immense velocity, and BC became one of the world’s meccas of craft beer, VCBW was born to showcase the incredible beers available within the province. 10+ years later and VCBW is one of the world’s best craft beer festivals, welcoming many, many thousands of craft beer drinkers to taste and learn about the available brews. It offers breweries the opportunity to showcase their breweries/cideries, their beers and at the same time connect with the local craft beer consumer base

Why Participate?

VCBW Offers breweries an extremely affordable option to sample beer to a large amount of beer enthusiasts at one time.

  • VCBW is free to participate if you have participated in the past.

  • VCBW Pays for all Kegs opened on at the event at wholesale price.

  • VCBW brings together 5000 beer enthusiasts that are searching to discover their new favorites.

How Does it Work?

VCBW works on a digital token system. Each token is sold to the attendees for $1 (plus tax) and 4oz samples at the festival are 2 tokens ($2)

Kegs are purchased by the festival at ‘wholesale’, up to a maximum of $200 (per keg). A brewery / cidery may pour beer with a keg price that exceeds the latter amount but VCBW’s repayment will be capped at $200/keg. If an exhibitor would like to pour 20L or 30L Kegs, the festival will change the purchasing protocol for that individual brewery/cidery. VCBW will pay for all kegs opened at the event. Any keg over the minimum of 2 agreed to purchase , must obtain clearance to open prior to doing so.

If the brewery would prefer to pour cans, VCBW will purchase a minimum of $400 worth of product.

What Does it Cost?

EARLY BIRD PRICING - Free with a $200 refundable deposit - Must register by April 15th.

Tier 1 pricing - $300 - Must register by May 15th.

Last minute - $500 - After May 15th - pending availablility
